Card game: starting in Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the most played games in casinos, both indoors and online. The rules of the game are simple and easy to learn. Even if you are a beginner, but have learned the basics and strategies, you will have a great chance of winning the game. It’s a game that combines both luck and the right decision and strategy. In this article, discover our tips for a good start in blackjack.

What is Blackjack?

It is a game played with several decks of cards. One deck may be enough, it is easier to know the probabilities of the cards. Therefore, casinos usually use six decks of cards. On the table, you have the boxes for the chips, a shoe, and the banker’s box.

What is the purpose of the game?

The goal in this game is to get 21 without ever exceeding it. If you go over 21, you lose the bet. The goal is to have a higher card composition than the banker. Each card keeps its face value, however, the 10 and pictures are worth 10, and the ace is worth 1 or 11. If your combination is a picture and an Ace, it’s blackjack, and you win 1.5 over your bet. For example, if you bet 100 and your combination is a jack and an ace, you have blackjack, so you win 150.

How to play Blackjack if you’re just starting?

First, the dealer will deal a card to each player and a face down card to the dealer. He will deal a second card a second time each day, and a face up card to the dealer. You can bet as you wish, but the minimum bet is 5 euros and the maximum bet is 300 euros.

Once you have placed your bet, and you have the two cards you dealt previously, all you have to do is enjoy your game.

If you have less than 16, you still have the possibility to draw an extra card. This is where your good decision comes in, either you will stay with the amount you have or you choose to draw an extra card. The risk has to be taken in any case, because if the bank has a higher composition than you have, you lose the bet, if you draw an extra card, and your composition exceeds 21, you also lose.

What are the tips for beginners?

During a hand, you have four actions to perform: draw an extra card, stop if you think your combination is sufficient, split or double the bet. However, it’s important to adopt a good strategy if you plan to win the game. The following tips are just basic, but you can take them into consideration to get started if you want to get started with the game. If the dealer has a 6, it’s best to stay if your combination is a 12. If you have 17 and the dealer has 7 of his two cards, it is recommended that you keep your sum.

In the event you have a pair of cards, it is more strategic to split (separate the two cards of the same value) especially if you have a double ace or 8. Note that when you split, you must also double your bet. When splitting, always keep the objective of not exceeding 21 on each card.
